Eagle Scout Sidney Matthew Roman, Troop 36, Pine Castle, FL
Sidney Matthew Roman
Matthew graduated from Boone High School in Orlando as a Valedictorian of his class with a weighted GPA of 5.2, and close to 30 college credits from Advance Placement courses. Matthew attended Boone's Law Magnet, and was actively involved in Boone's award-winning Theater Department, where he was cast as as male lead for many Musical Theater productions like Evita, Addams Family, and All Shook Up.
Matthew attained the rank of Eagle Scout in June of 2017 after fulfilling all the requirements and completing his Eagle project at Boone as well. Matthew is the first Boone High School student to have been accepted to the prestigious Ivy League Columbia University in the City of New York. He will start attending Columbia in the Fall of '17, and plans to study Political Science and Physics. We have no doubt he will go far!
The Law Offices of Sidney A. Roman started offering educational scholarships in 2016 to further foster its support of higher education. This first scholarship was offered to members of the Hispanic American Law Student Association at Barry University School of Law, and was later awarded to Zarina Hernandez, a Hispanic law student.
Congratulations Matthew and best wishes for continued success at Columbia University!
